Thank you for your comment, Matias!
Well, unfortunately, I have had to experience their working methods myself. Last car rental ended in a total disappointment. See my review here: https://mallorcadrive.com/car-rental-scam/

First of all, AVOID AVOID AVOID this company. It is really a SCAM and a Fraud, that is the only a truly reason why they have a 1.5, 1.1 and 1 in respectable ratings sites such as Trustpilot, Yelp and TripAdvisor (which I have never seen such lows ratings before, but they were ALL ACCURATE). The SCAM is as follows: They publish low prices in partners
Such as booking.com or Norwegian airlines (among other sites) and when you check in at their desks they try to make you upgrade the car for a lot more than what you paid (in my case a luxury BMW X1 was EUR 360 for nine days= eur 40 a day) and I can upgrade to a BMW X3 for EUR 75 a day extra! Which makes absolutely no sense, an upgrade could be 20% or 30% more but not almost double the price a day. When you clearly reject the increase in price for an upgrade they tell you they don’t have the model you rented that they only have xxx in your category (which is a very scratched and bumped car) but of course you still don’t know since you haven’t seen it. They offer a insurance, again at an absurd price, in my case EUR 550 for the nine days (yes, the insurance was 150% more than the car rental
Itself) if I don’t do it I have to block EUR 2,000 from my credit card (no AMEX accepted). She was very insistent in not renting again in partners, in renting in their home site or rental cars since those have insurance included and the blocking was not needed. Weird! But I thought some people may have low credit in their credit cards and eur 2,000 was limiting their expenses during vacations. Then, they tell you that the car has multiple scratches and they make you sign a proof of notice of the scratches in an ipad BEFORE SEEING THE CAR! But they promise they will send an email so
That you can carefully check everything later. They never sent any email at all, not before and not after (just like in your experience). When I got to the car I took a lot of pictures of the damage. I did returned it on time but there was nobody to receive it since it was before 6am. There was no new damage to the car and one day later I received a charge for usd 1,000 on my US VISA credit card. I’m pretty sure this SCAM is made to UK, USA and foreign visitors and probably not locals. They never sent anything and I did the dispute with my credit card so they sent an “invented” invoice to my credit card. Now I’m in the middle of this battle and would love to talk with the regulatory authorities in Spain and the tourists protection since this was a very clear FRAUD. Please contact me if you want more details.
